What is Goin On with Rache*?!

Hey everyone, I apologize for taking so long to upload my blog. Somewhere between checking my emails..updating myspace...and chatting on facebook..I get lost and forget about blogging! haha :D
So about a couple weeks ago I turned 21 years old! Wow that is old...haha just kiddin'! And not only did I turn 21 but it was spent all day in Austraila!! Sydney/Katoomba, Aus.! It was amazing! We had spaghetti on toast, Devinshire tea with a jam plastered scone...in the evening we had meat pies with a flat white to add on the side! What an amazing birthday! Dec. 30th my grandparents, our friend Jerry, my brother Nate and I left for Australia.! We left the 30th and arrived the 1st of January...so somewhere in between flights we spent New Years together! haha :D
Probably sleeping...
ANYWAY..the main reason we went to Australia was for this camp "Southern Cross Kids' Camp" for abused children. Our dear friend Carolyn Boyd had invited us to be apart of it, so we excitedly got the tickets and hopped on board!
I had never been a buddy at a camp before..so I was nervous. I had heard some horror stories from previous buddies and wasn't sure if that would be me at the end of the week...haha
Praise God, because it wasn't! haha But the truth is...when it's all said and done..all that matters is those children and how you may have responded to the criticism or the hurtful remarks...how did you show God's love...did you listen to them...did you care about them...did you go out of your way to make them feel special...? I think all of these things are important...
God shows us love even when we push away...Even when we say hurtful things...even when we call Him names or refuse to listen too HIm...God cares about all of our situations...His love is beyond our imagination...
God really worked on my heart in that one week of camp. I will never forget my camper Skye. She was hard to open up at first..but God really did a transformation in her heart and once she broke that first smile...my heart skipped a beat! I was blessed.
Another thing that was so great about being involved in this camp was the unity and peace of the team working together...there was this bond that was strong and we held each other up...I loved working with the girls in my cabin "Mec-Tsyn and JoAnne", they were anointed woman of God..full of the Spirit and a huge encouragment too me! We had soo much fun! Also just the way that Rachel and Grace continued showing love and pursuing their campers even when it was tough...They are an inspiration to all of us..I believe.
They never stopped..they never quit! Just as God never quits on us. They probably thought about it..in fact I know they did, but they didn't give in! They could say what Paul says "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race I have kept the faith!" (2 Tim. 4:7)
THere is no way that you can go through a camp like that and not come out different...YOu will not be the same once you leave that place...Your heart will be expanded...your patience tested...haha :D but it's true..and your Fruit of the SPirit!
I just really appreciate Carolyn..Colleen..and all of those who put that camp together and had the heart to do it, and obeyed the will of God! Thank you. I love you all! :D Blessings,

From Sister,
Rache*

What God is Speaking...

Usually every Tuesday and Thursday morning Nate, Marv and I have prayer and worship... Today, As we were worshiping, I felt this heaviness on my chest, more intense than usual..it was heavy! I usually move around a lot when I worship and kind of dance in place? If you want to call it that?! haha Anyway, and I couldn't move because the heaviness was so intense. I couldn't even open my mouth to sing because there was this intense reverence and Awe in the room. I knew God wanted me to listen...He spoke to me two things:
1. With patience comes suffering and endurance which produces strength
2. Desperate people change things

Those were the two things He spoke...
I shared these with Nate and Marv and then they had me pray. Nathan shared how he was reading yesturday in the Bible about Elijah in

1 Kings 18:41-46 (New International Version)
41 And Elijah said to Ahab, "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain." 42 So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees.
43 "Go and look toward the sea," he told his servant. And he went up and looked.

"There is nothing there," he said.

Seven times Elijah said, "Go back."
44 The seventh time the servant reported, "A cloud as small as a man's hand is rising from the sea."

So Elijah said, "Go and tell Ahab, 'Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.' "
45 Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain came on and Ahab rode off to Jezreel. 46 The power of the LORD came upon Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.

WOW!!! He continued praying even though results weren't happening immediately!!! He endured through the suffering of waiting and in all of that his faith was strengthened and his faith produced results!!! WOW!!! LET's Do that Celeste!

Continue praying and waiting upon the Lord! All of these things He has promised you will come to past because we do not put our trust in man but in a God who is faithful to those He has promised! He does not lie! He does not break covenants! Our God is faithful and someone we can trust! AMEN!!!

Persecution in INDIA NOW!!!

Churches burned, Christians slaughtered in India

Fri, 29 Aug 2008 - 3:35 PM CST

In what could be eerily compared to the massacre of men, women and children burned alive or hacked to death in rioting that occurred in Kenya earlier this year, Hindu mobs are rampaging throughout the Orissa region of India, burning churches with people still inside and hacking other Christians to death.

However, unlike Kenya, this outbreak of violence is linked totally to religion, and Christians are being hunted by Hindus who are methodically targeting, hunting and killing them wherever and whenever possible.

"We have never seen anything like this," reports a U.S. Assemblies of God minister in India, whose name is being withheld for safety. "We knew that Orissa was the most resistant and hostile state in India as far as the gospel is concerned . . . . But none of our staff imagined that they would see this kind of carnage."

The attacks stem from the slaying of a "militant" Hindu priest, Laxmanananda Saraswati, and four of his attendants this past Saturday. Although it is unclear who committed the murders, Christians were immediately targeted.

"In the past four [now 6] days, we have first hand witness to hundreds of churches being blown up or burned and many, many dozens of Christian tribals have been slaughtered," the minister states, who is in contact with native Christian leaders throughout the region. Police have been called out and have been able to protect some Christian locations, but many Christians have fled their churches, Christian centers and homes to the comparative safety of the jungle.

"The killing is expected to last at least 14 days," the minister explains, "supposedly the mourning period for the slain Hindu priest."

He goes on to explain that even though the police are out in force, the mobs are roving throughout the area, waiting for a chance to slip by police-protected areas to get at Christians. "More than 5,000 Christian families have had their homes burned or destroyed," he states. "Many believers have been killed and hacked into pieces and left on the road - even women and children."

Although India is mainly Hindu, with only 2 percent of the population being Christian, in the Kandhamal district of Orissa, an area of great violence, Christians reportedly make up 20 percent of the population. And now police have "shoot-at-sight" orders to help control the violence.

"We ask for your prayers," the minister says. "Only the hand of God can calm this storm . . . . this is spiritual warfare at its most basic meaning."

PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN INDIA NOW!!!!!!!!! THEY NEED IT BADLY!!!!

My friend JO

Saturday evening August 23, 2008 I received a voice mail from my mom. My good friend that I've known for a long time got in a car accident. Jo, she is 17. She wasn't wearing her seat belt and was thrown through the window. She laid on the side of the road for an hour until she was found. She was found by a family friend and he asked her if she could hear him, then he asked if she would respond by squeezing his hand because she wasn't talking. She squeezed his hand. They immediately life flighted her to the hospital. Now she is in intensive care and is in a indulsive coma! I am believing in healing for JO!!! PRAY FOR JO PLEASE!!! Pray for her! That God's glory will be revealed and she will rise up and walk!

jo is the girl with me in the picture
Her family is not Christian and we are praying that this will cause a chain reaction of acceptance of God's salvation in their lives!!! Please be praying that they come to God through this!

Thank you so much for your prayers everyone!

Youth Camp 08'

Just recently “mainstream youth” got back from church camp in Poccetello, ID. It was amazing! This year was my first year being a counselor for the youth. It was such a blessing to see God work in the lives of the youth this week at camp. Usually I would be just like any camper receiving things from the Lord, and being prayed for. But this week I was able to be used by God as a open vessel. He poured through me and I felt this unexplainable fire in my body. I was burning up and my tummy had a great tensity. I felt the power of God! This week it was also a blessing because my brother, and cousins Katie, and Beka were also leaders (counselors). Then again Nate is also the Youth Pastor of our church. We were all stepping into different roles that we had never stepped in before. We were all stretched by God and used for His glory. It was amazing! I was in total surrender and felt weak without God! He was the One that gave me strength when I felt like I had no idea what to do. There were times when I felt powerless. I was like “who am I to be doing this or praying like this?” But God gave me the words to say and the authority to do it! Because we have the authority of Jesus Christ when we have received Him inside of our hearts! Amen!
God gave me such boldness this week, it was unexplainable, and faith! Hallelujah! And oh...what freedom to dance in the presence of the Lord with complete abandonment! The fire fell down on nearly all of the youth! Many youth were set free of addictions, their past, chains that had been hindering them, words that had enslaved them, unforgiveness of those who had hurt them! PRAISE THE LORD!!! He heard our cries and he set the captives free. And now the youth are free to worship and free to dance! They are free to live for God! Amen!
God broke down the walls and the blindness the devil had placed over the eyes of the youth. He spoke life into them. He transformed hearts. He changed their lives and called them His own~! His blood covered them and wiped away every stain. Lives were dedicated to the Lord! :D
I want to praise God right now because my dear friend Remona was able to come to camp! She gave her heart to the Lord and then two days later was filled with the fire of the Spirit!!! :D How great it was to see God touch her life! What a blessing she is to me! I love her and her family! I was talking with Remona and I asked her, “Did you thank God for what He did for you tonight?” She said, “Yes, God loves me.” Haha : D Yes He does Remona!!! Amen!

haha this photo has nothing to do with camp! The boy and girl asians are Cat Thereena, and Tharkudo (boy)! They are Remona's little brother and sister. The boy on my lap is named Steph. He lives in the same apartment complex as Remona. There are actually many kids living in the apartments. Many african, some from the middle east, american, and asian. I am praying for God to give me favor with their parents because I want the children to come to church. I am making friends with many of the african kids! :D They are such a blessing and so precious! haha :D

Blessings to you all! :D

Pure Abandonment!

Hello everyone! I am so excited for summer! Cannot wait for all of the great things to happen with RFKC, Isaiah's ranch, working at the church with youth, children and doing clinic stuff...oh it's so exciting! Especially to see that God is moving in Boise, Idaho! :D If you haven't been watching you should: There is a healing revival going on in Florida with Todd Bentley! It's awesome and global! You can see it online, or TV; usually comes on between 5-9pm! God is doing amazing things! :D (then again He never stopped?..haha)
Anyway, what I want to talk about is something that's been on my heart and God is speaking to me. Tuesday morning we were having prayer in the sanctuary. I was praying and God began speaking to me about "running with abandonment"...then he spoke the verse in Hebrews 12:2 "let us throw off everything that hinders us and the sin that so easily entangles us; let us run with perseverence the race marked out for us, and let us fix our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith!" Another thing that has been on my heart is purity! I have been praying for purity in my mind, heart and every aspect of my being!
I want to be pure in thought and action! God has called us to be pure people; especially as leaders!
"running with abandonment..." abandon the things of this world, the things that hold you down, the sin that enslaves you! Abandon your comfort zone, your box that you are used to carrying around... abandon it all and "FIX your eyes on Jesus!" Trust that He is in control of your life!
When we abandon all of the hindrances in our lives and lay it down before Jesus, He will take care of us! There is no way to get off course if your eyes are Fixed on Jesus Christ! Amen and Amen! Let us run our race with Pure Abandonment! :D

okay, I'm done...hehe
